County setting aside cash for gas, diesel price hikes


The rising cost of fuel isn't just going to hit your pocketbook directly -- county schools and agencies are preparing to spend more of your tax dollars on gas and diesel.
County Executive Janet S. Owens has proposed setting aside just under $4.5 million for the fiscal year that starts July 1, a 29.5 percent jump over the current budget.
